Our journey began last November when the call was put out for people interested in a mission experience to Guatemala with the Arms of Jesus Children's Mission.  A new and different experience to be sure.  When one experiences something new, one of two things will happen.  Nothing...or change will happen.
      As this team embarks upon what will be a new experience for the majority of the members, we believe invariably change will happen.  As we visit Guatemala and interject ourselves into the lives of the people there, we are sure God will work in our hearts and lives to bring about the kind of change He wants.  Pray for us as we are 9 days away from leaving Pickering for the lush, mountainous, poverty-stricken land of Guatemala.      

     Sunday the 6th will be our commissioning service at Safe Haven Worship Centre in Pickering, followed by a week of frantic packing, weighing luggage, checking and double checking what we need to take with us, lots of prayer, ensuring all necessary travel information is in its correct place...what an exciting time!  We look forward to this journey as it unfolds before us!
